The Trance Affect

An amazing gig to end the year. This is how Raghu Dixit and Sushila Raman did justice to the one of the most beautiful venues that exists in the heart of the city. Nothing beats the ambience of Bandra amphitheatre especially during the festive season. The gig was well publicised and the artists were welcomed by the presence of celebreties.
Raghu Dixit opened the gig. He managed to get the crowd singing to his tunes in Kannada. The crowd however couldnt get enough of him. He replugged his guitar and had the crowd singing Amber to end his performance, a song which he played after 2008 in a live show. But the night didnt end here. The lady who stole away the night with her indo-classical-western fusion was Sushila Raman. Her music took the crowd in a state of trance. The entire band complimented each other. Indo-classical-western fusion version of Bob dylan's rolling like a stone and Jimi hendrix's voodoo child did set an example of exemplary artist.
